Gwyneth Paltrow dazzled an all-star audience with her karaoke performance of Killing Me Softly.

The Oscar-winning actress joined a host of celebrities at charity event Karaoke With The Stars, held at London jazz club Ronnie Scott's to raise funds to support the work of the Hoping Foundation for Palestinian refugee children.

Bruce Forsyth hosted the evening in which the audience - which included Rhys Ifans, Robbie Coltrane, Davina McCall, Jemima Khan, Trinny Woodhall and Susannah Constantine - bid to hear the stars sing.

Gwyneth brought the house down with her performance, which alone raised £45,000 for the charity, and afterwards Bruce told her: "You can kill me any way you like."

The music began with Lulu performing Shout, accompanied by Jools Holland on piano and Gwyneth, Sharleen Spiteri, Donna Air and Sam Taylor-Wood as impromptu back-up singers.

Jarvis Cocker belted his way through My Sharona, Sharleen sang Baby Love and Nick Cave performed He's The Greatest Dancer, with the two audience members who bid for the song as backing dancers. Bryan Ferry reprised his classic Let's Stick Together with Lily Cole and Bruce Forsyth sang The Lady Is A Tramp.

Lou Reed performed Dirty Boulevard and all the performers joined in the finale of Hi Ho Silver Lining, led by Jeff Beck and Nigel Kennedy on violin.
