The bright winter sunshine of the last two afternoons appears to have disappeared.
A cloudy day is set to dawn today, with heavy rain making its appearance in the late afternoon and continuing into the evening, though easing slightly later.
Temperatures will reach a relatively mild 10 degrees Celcius.
The next two days are forecast to remain unsettled, with cloudy spells intermittent with periods of rain, until more rain, again sometimes heavy is expected to settle in across the county for Saturday.
Two flood warnings remain in force for Gloucestershire, on the River Severn at Severn Ham in Tewkesbury and at Apperley and The Leigh.
A flood alert also remains for the entirety of the Severn through the county.
