Flood warnings are still in place along the River Severn with threats to Gloucester, Tewkesbury and outlying areas ongoing.
However, the region is expected to see drier weather during Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sunny spells are predicted in Gloucester albeit most of the day will be overcast.
Winds will also die down in the region until Thursday when more storms are on the way.
Some roads remain affected by flooding however and diversions have been put in place.
The A417 between Maisemore and Over Roundabout, the B4213 between Tirley and Lower Apperley, and Sandhurst Lane in Gloucester were all closed due to floodwater.
Spitalgate Lane in Cirencester was also closed between the A435 Abbey Way junction and the Gloucester Street junction.
Trains and flights were not affected on Tuesday morning.
