VISITING restrictions have been lifted at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital following an outbreak of Norovirus.

Patients were banned from having loved ones call in on ward 9b during the weekend to stop the spread of diarrhoea and vomiting. Wards had also been shut to visitors at Cheltenham General Hospital following several cases of the winter vomiting bug. Both hospitals are now fully open, but the situation is to be reviewed daily.
