POLICE are appealing for a motorist to come forward after a 61-year-old pedestrian was hurt in Cheltenham.

At approximately 3.25pm on Wednesday February 20 last week paramedics reported to police that a man had been taken to hospital as a precaution after he was involved in a collision with a vehicle in Alstone Lane.

However, the condition of the man has since deteriorated and he has been transferred to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

Officers say they need to speak to the driver of the vehicle involved.

They want him or her to contact them by calling 101 and quoting incident number 305 of February 20.

Any witnesses who may have seen what happened are also being encouraged to get in touch.
