FOUR players from the University of Gloucestershire All Golds Under 19s’ Academy have been called up by their country.

The Gloucestershire quartet of Lewis McKissick, Dale Cooper, Frankie Foster and Josh Williams have been selected for the England Colleges Rugby League squad.

The All Golds academy players will join up with their teammates for training sessions at the end of the month and in June before embarking on a tour of Belgium between July 18 and 21.

Wings Williams and McKissick will begin studying Business Management and Strength and Conditioning respectively at the University of Gloucestershire in September when they complete their studies at The Crypt School in Gloucester and Hartpury College.

Second row Foster is planning on studying at the University next year and is currently at Cheltenham Bournside School and Sixth Form in Cheltenham and back row Cooper is studying at St. Peter’s RC High School and Sixth Form Centre in Gloucester.

Mike Stewart head of the University of Gloucestershire All Golds Under 19s’ Academy and captain of the club’s Championship side said: “I am delighted that four of our players have been selected.

“They have been working tremendously hard in the University of Gloucestershire All Golds Under 19s’ Academy and it has paid dividends after some great performances in the recent regional tournament.”
