A BUSINESSMAN who stepped in with 30 Easter eggs for sick children has been thanked for his generosity.

When Hashim Norat, of the Daily Field newsagent, in Barton Street, Gloucester, heard the promise of eggs from a large company had fallen through, he generously offered enough eggs for all 30 patients at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital Children's Centre, free of charge.

They were presented by members of the University of Gloucestershire American football team, the Gladiators, on Wednesday, March 20.
