AFTER an argument with his pregnant girlfriend, Sanjay McLean attacked her house – with mayonnaise, rice and flour.
He smeared the ingredients over the woman’s front door in Gloucester and also broke a window and damaged her car wing mirror, the city’s crown court was told.
Disc jockey Mclean, 34, of Furlong Road, Gloucester, admitted two charges of damaging property on January 26 this year but denied an allegation of affray. His pleas were accepted by the prosecutuion.
Conditionally discharging him for a year, Judge William Hart told him: “All this was a piece of stupidity, really. A silly reaction to something which happened to you.
“I do not regard the criminality here as particularly high.”
The judge also ordered McLean to pay £100 compensation to the woman and costs of £75.
Prosecutor Janine Wood said: “He was in a relationship with this lady and she was pregnant by him.
“They had something of an argument and split up. He went to her premises on this day with flour, mayonnaise and rice because he believed she had done the same thing to his house.
“He put it over her door.
“He also used a small hammer to break a window and he did damage to the wing mirror of her car.
“He was, effectively, angry and that’s what he did.”
She said it happened at 9am when the victim was at home.
She heard a lot of noise outside and saw it was McLean, who was wielding a small hammer and being abusive.
“He was ranting and raging,” she said.
Dermot Clarke, defending, said McLean had been out all that night and had shared a bottle of rum and cannabis with friends.
He had then gone home and found a mess on and around his door and suspected it was his girlfriend who had done it.
