It seems that science fiction rules supreme at themoment; the 3D film 'Gravity' is wowing audiences and critics alike, and therecent Doctor Who anniversary achieved massive viewing figures worldwide.

Here in the Forest, Lydbrook Players are making their owncontribution with a Sci-Fi version of a traditional tale – 'Beauty and theALIEN Beast'.

Brian and Sandie Bradley, co-writers and directors ofthis year's production, are delighted to have captured the mood of the moment."I first had the idea some time ago but the writing was on and off for ages dueto other commitments. Even when we finished and proposed the pantomime for thisyear, we hadn't really realised how appropriate it would be." Brian explained.

And what do they think of last month's anniversary episodeof Doctor Who, which garnered around 13 million UK viewers and played in 94countries around the world? "Well, we'll be happy with even the smallestfraction of those audience figures," Sandie laughed, "and, anyway, ourauditorium will only seat a hundred!"

So, if you don't want to miss out, get your tickets nowfrom Lydbrook Central Stores and join in the futuristic, festive fun. The showwill take place at Lydbrook Memorial Hall on 19th, 20thand 21st December with a matinee performance on Saturday, 21st.Humans, androids and aliens are all welcome, but no daleks, please!
