The mayor of Gloucester will reopen the Furniture Recycling Project shop tomorrow.

The shop in Grosvenor House, Station Road, Gloucester will be reopened at 9.30am by Councillor Chris Chatterton after some building work took place.

“We are extremely pleased that the works to the walkway have been carried out so quickly, given that we were originally advised that it could take up to 21 days," said Ian Ellis, chief executive of the project.

"Our appreciation must go to all those that have worked hard behind the scenes in ensuring the works have been undertaken at such speed.

"I am also very grateful for The Mayor who will formally open the doors to the public, allowing us to once again offer a service to the community."

There will be no charge for delivery to all customers purchasing items from the store this week, and there will also be cakes and sweets available on Wednesday to say thanks to customers.
