FREESTYLE BMX stars of tomorrow made an appearance at an impressive new skatepark near Stroud.

The Lil Pros BMX tour featured riders in their early teens who showed off their skills, and mixed with young and old BMX riders, skateboarders, scooter riders and inline skaters on Sunday.

The indoor park in a former factory unit in Brimscombe has been met with rave reviews from riders of all disciplines and is already proving hugely popular. Beginners’ Saturday morning sessions have been booked out on a new online booking system but a small number of tickets are available on the door.

The 40,000sq ft, professionally designed park was stgarted by parents Jerry and Michelle Norman, from nearby Thrupp.

It boasts a street section, park section, bowl, foam pit, resi - flexible - ramp, and trials track made of birch wood.

Jerry and Michelle are expecting a busy half term period and will be putting on extra sessions next week. Find out more at www.rushskatepark.co.uk
