The new Drive-Thru restaurant, which can seat more than 85 customers and has power sockets and free wifi, is expected create around 100 jobs.

Matt Obrey, operations consultant for the new restaurant, said: “It is an honour for our McDonald’s team to serve the community in St Oswald’s and the local area.

“We hope to see loyal fans of McDonald’s coming to enjoy what they know and love, as well as potential new customers who are attracted by our inviting look and feel.

All 100 employees will have access to McDonald’s training and development programmes, as well as the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications ranging from adult certificates in Maths and English to a Foundation degree in Managing Business Operations

bunny_tale, I think we ALL know where the staff from The Citizen like to eat lunch, dinner and maybe even breakfast........Yes, you guessed it - a certain new (expensive) burger & chips restaurant at Gloucester Docks. Still need a clue? Starts with T and ends with s. They used to get their freebies at On Toast.....allegedly!

You might want to check your facts. The McDonald's in the city center got self-order kiosks in the recent re-fit. I guess no-one from the Citizen wonders up there for lunch!

If a single Macca's employs 100 people, why not let them build another 15 and that's Gloucester's unemployed claiment total sorted.

The vital question that the self-order kiosks must ask of the users is, "Do you want fries with that?"... The downside of self-service kiosks is that future ex-MPs may not be able to find a job in these restaurants.
