Striker Matty Taylor has returned to Forest Green after the club cut short his loan spell with Chester.
Taylor moved to the Deva Stadium at the end of the January transfer window and was huge hit for Steve Burr’s struggling side, scoring six times in seven games including a hat-trick in a 4-3 win at Tamworth.
His impressive form played an integral part in a revival that saw Chester pick up 11 points from five matches and move six points clear of the relegation zone.
Taylor had been expected to remain with the part-timers until the end of the season, but with a hectic run of fixtures to come Rovers boss Ady Pennock has exercised a recall option.
The 23-year-old is expected to feature in the squad for Tuesday's Skrill Premier clash with Salisbury City at the New Lawn.
