Forest Green have confirmed the departure of back-up goalkeeper Matt Bulman, who has had his contact terminated.
Formerly on the books of Swindon Town and Salisbury City, Bulman moved to Rovers from Cirencester Town in June 2011.
After impressing in pre-season he began the 2011-12 campaign as Dave Hockaday’s number one, only to lose his place to James Bittner after five games.
Sam Russell’s arrival from Darlington the following January pushed him further down the pecking order, and last November he spent a month on loan at Chippenham Town in a bid to get game time.
Pennock said: “Matt wants to be playing games and this is the best move for all concerned. The club wish him all the best in his future career.”
The Rovers boss still has three first-team keepers at his disposal in Russell, Adam McHugh and Paul White.
