DARTFORD 0 FOREST GREEN ROVERS 1

Danny Wright's first touch as an 83rd minute substitute got Forest Green back to winning ways at Skrill Premier strugglers Dartford.

Home goalkeeper Alan Julian was called into action inside the first 50 seconds, blocking James Norwood's near-post drive in routine fashion.

Three minutes later Yan Klukowski saw a similar effort from opposite side of the penalty area parried away, ensuring it was already a more promising start than Rovers had made to their previous three away games.

On 79 minutes it looked like Danny Harris would grab a monumentally important goal for his side when he nicked the ball past the onrushing Sam Russell, only for Eddie Oshodi to sprint back and clear off the line.

Instead the breakthrough came at the other end, Lee Hughes feeding fellow sub Wright for a tidy drilled finish into the bottom corner of the net – the big striker having entered the fray 15 seconds earlier.
