FLORAL tributes have been left in memory of a man who died after an incident in the city centre earlier this month.

Bouquets cover the front of the Nettleton Road, Gloucester house, in memory of Martin Stokes, 30.

He suffered wounds to his head and chest on Monday, January 13.

After the incident at around 9pm, police sealed off the home for several days, and Mr Stokes died in Frenchay Hospital near Bristol on Monday, January 20.

Heartbroken family and friends paid tribute to Mr Stokes on Facebook and Twitter, and many have paid a poignant symbol of their respect at the home.

Benjamin McGregor-Clark, 47, was also treated in hospital for injuries after the incident.

*Tony Poole, 51, faces two charges of wounding with intent in connection with the incident. He will appear at Gloucester Crown Court on February 14.
