Students brightened up the day for shoppers in Gloucester city centre by performing an impromptu dance off to raise money for a cardiac screening event next month.
The 40 strong flashmob sprang to life at 12.30pm, with students performing a dance routine on The Cross. Money raised from a bucket collection will go to the Stop the Heartbreak campaign. The appeal is raising £7,000 for 200 cardiac screening sessions at the Oxstalls Campus of the University of Gloucestershire on April 8-9.
Shopper Lesley Allison, said: “I was very impressed and wondered what they were all doing at first. It was great to see so many young people dancing, it is a good cause.”
