ABANDONED puppy Charlie has had the perfect Christmas present – he has found new owners.

But Teckels Animal Sanctuary is still at full capacity with 16 dogs and 24 cats in need of homes.

Staff have been busy deck the halls with tinsel ready for a festive fair on Saturday and promise the chance to collar a perfect Christmas present.

The event at the Whitminster kennels will run from 6.30pm to 9pm and raise money towards its £240,000 annual running costs.

There will be Christmas gifts and cards, a raffle, music from Frampton Brass Band and a blessing by the canon of Gloucestershire Cathedral.
