Positive change is on the cards for BBL Batteries (Swindon), specialists for power supplies in the South West, as it moves to new, larger premises.

The branch, which moved to a new 3500sq ft premises, has now trebled in size to support its rapid growth.

As a result of the move, the company, now situated at Unit 4 Westmead Industrial Estate, Bridgemead Close, Westmead, will be able to provide battery testing and battery fitting. The new location also includes a shop area supplying a vast variety of battery accessories including cables, leads, chargers and also a range of common wiper blades and bulbs.

The shop also enables BBL Batteries (Swindon) to fully demonstrate its ranges of Solar panels and Lighting kits.

Graham Bultitude, managing director, said: "We are delighted to be in a position where we have to move to larger premises to support our growth. It is testament to our ever evolving products and innovation and being able to keep up with market's needs."

The Swindon branch of the Bristol Batteries group, which now falls under the new banner of BBL Batteries, has been running as Bristol Batteries since it was purchased by Jackie and Graham Bultitude in 1982. The majority of its original customer base still remains today, something the brand is extremely proud of.

He added: "In moving to our new bigger branch, Bristol Batteries is getting a make-over and joining the rest of the group under the new BBL Batteries banner.  We still have the same great team, comprehensive technical knowledge and wide range of stock, just a new name and location!"

Run by Graham and his wife Jacqualine, BBL Batteries source batteries, including leading brands such as Varta, Exide, Yuasa and Enersys from the UK, Europe and across the world for use in a wide range of applications.  These include cars, trucks, caravans, boats, golf caddies, mobility equipment, emergency lighting, standby power, telecoms and IT backup.
