Drivers escape lorry crash uninjured

DRIVERS involved in a collision with a lorry in Birdlip lastnight were lucky to walk away from the incident uninjured.

Fire crews responded to the scene after reports of peopletrapped in the two cars and a lorry, with fire breaking out in one of the vehicles on the A436.

On arrival, emergency services discovered two males and afemale had been released from the wreckage and escaped serious injury. Thereports of a fire also turned out to incorrect.

Seventeen firefighters attended to make the scene safe anddisconnect the vehicle batteries. They left around 45 minutes later, just after7pm.
