SINGING sensation Katie Smith is no stranger to showing off her vocals on national telly.
The 19-year-old made it to the X Factor bootcamp in 2010 where she started a relationship with One Direction's heartthrob Harry Styles.
But since then, the King's Stanley teen has a new boyfriend called Harry – 20-year-old Harry Jones – and the duo are performing together on the hit BBC TV series The Voice tonight.
All eyes will be on the pair to see whether they make it through to the next stage.
Katie admits that putting Harry Styles and the X Factor behind her was for the best because she was "too young" at the time.
She said: "Everything has happened for a reason and it has all worked out.
"If I hadn't left, I wouldn't have met Harry and we wouldn't be doing The Voice now."
Katie and her new boyfriend, who is from Tetbury, will be watching themselves on the television at her mum's house.
She said: "Mum is my number one fan and always has been. My story is a bit of a cliche in that I started singing when I was very young and I used to put on shows for my family.
"I know my mum is so proud of us."
And Harry, who she has dated since July 2011, has quickly become her rock.
"If you are a solo act you have to go around the country by yourself and that is quite a daunting prospect. So to have somebody with you makes it so much easier," said Katie.
"I'm far less nervous when Harry is on stage with me."
The English literature and drama student, who is studying in Oxford, said her relationship with Harry has blossomed thanks to their on-stage presence together.
Harry added: "I can't believe how far we have come.
"We started out with a YouTube channel and we were contacted by The Voice asking us to audition.
"We were really surprised to get the message."
The Voice airs tonight at 7pm on BBC One.
