OUT-OF-WORK carers willing to relocate from Gloucester are being urged to fill a 150-job shortfall in the industry in North Wales.

Welsh care provider Abacare Ltd is calling on help from unemployed city workers to fill the healthcare void in Bangor.

Available positions include office managers, recruitment managers, co-ordinators, supervisors and community carers.

Peter Angelides, managing director at Abacare, said: “Being in rural Wales, it’s not always easy finding the right employees to fit the roles we have available.

“We are now extending our search to include Gloucester as we understand there are staff in the industry at the moment looking for work from the city.

“It’s a great opportunity for someone keen to relocate out in the countryside for a better lifestyle.

“We are looking for kind, committed and reliable people, who have excellent communication skills and a genuine care for others to fill our positions. Care work is a very rewarding job and gives people the opportunity to carve a career for themselves.”

“Every successful applicant receives full training, which includes a company induction, first aid, dementia awareness, health and safety, food safety, infection control, handling medication and moving and handling service users.

“We also offer the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), formerly known as National Vocational Qualifications, to all our team members who show commitment, reliability and true passion. We provide a great support network for all of our carers.”

Abacare operates a professional Care Management Team that is committed to providing high quality care to individuals in their own homes.

The large team of trained, specialist, care workers provide positive based outcomes and person centred care to people throughout the UK.

The care agency was also recently awarded an Investors in People accolade for its staff training and development.

Staff at Abacare were assessed to ensure the organisation met the requirements of the standard.
