Cyclist suffers head and back injuries, after falling 20 feet down an embankment, in Coleford

Fire crew were called out to an incident where a cyclist had fallen down an embankment this afternoon, near Cannop Crossroads in Coleford.

The South West ambulance service called the fire service to assist them with incident, which involved the cyclist fall 20 feet down at 1.25pm today.

One appliance with a specialist rope rescue team from Coleford fire station attended the scene and rescued the adult male who was suffering head and back injuries.

The casualty was then taken to hospital for treatment by the South West ambulance service.
