FOR David and Ann Wilson, 50 years of marriage have delivered many warm memories – and one very cold fridge.
The couple from Longhope celebrate their golden wedding this year and will be chilling the celebratory fizz in a fridge they've had since the year they got married.
They got the Prestcold fridge thrown in free when they bought a Rolls Rapide automatic twin tub washing machine in 1963.
David, 76, said: "Unfortunately the washing machine stopped working a few years back and we got rid of it.
"But the fridge is still working well, it keeps our food a lot colder than our modern one.
"It is still as good as new."
The fridge has moved around with the couple every time they've moved home.
David said: "It is part of the family."
The couple, from Longhope, now want to trace the seller of the two appliances to let them know of the good deal he did for them.
He was John Bloom, a successful business man who is now thought to live in Marbella, Spain.
If anyone knows how David and Ann can get in touch with John Bloom, call the Citizen news desk on 01452 698821.
A party for close friends and family will be held for the Wilson's anniversary on March 30 at Huntley Village Hall.
