Electrical contractor and training provider Clarkson Evans has snapped up a light industrial unit with one of the best parking to space ratios in Cheltenham and Gloucester for a six-figure deal.

Acting on behalf of Ultra Electronics, who had vacated the premises in order to move to a newly refurbished 100,000 ft2 facility at Arle Court, Robert Smith of Bruton Knowles, confirmed the aquisition.

Clarkson Evans specialises in wiring new homes for most of the UK's major house builders.

Located on the Anson Business Park between Gloucester and Cheltenham, the 16,600 sq ft building has parking for 60 cars which made it highly desirable for businesses needing space for staff and to serve a delivery fleet.

Robert Smith said: "With a building of this size you would normally expect around 40 parking spaces so to have 60 really is a benefit.

"Any business occupier that has a requirement for a high level of parking always struggles to find a suitable building so it came as no surprise that a company the size of Clarkson Evans which has a relatively large fleet of vehicles quickly stepped in.

"Being close to Junction 11 of the M5 will provide the business easy access to the motorway network so its team of electricians will be able to get to and from sites with relative ease."

Steve Evans, managing director of Clarkson Evans said: "As one of the UK's leading electrical contractors with 12 regional branches, a property of this nature is perfect for us to serve southern England, the Midlands and south Wales.

"Our electricians are busy on site and need to stock up on materials before heading out at the beginning of the day so this new property will act as the ideal hub to service our client base.

"With the house building sector showing signs of growth, this will also enable us to maintain our position as a leading electrical contractor." Alder King acted on behalf of Clarkson Evans.
