GLOUCESTER City have confirmed that goalkeeper Mike Green has joined the club on a year long loan from Bristol Rovers.

The 21-year-old has joined the Tigers on a year long loan from the Memorial Stadium outfit.

But he will not play until the first match of City's Blue Square North campaign after picking up a knock training with Rovers.

City boss Dave Mehew said he was delighted to be bringing a League One player to Gloucester.

He said: "It is a done deal, the reason for the delay in announcing the signing was down to the wishes of Rovers."
