SINGING star Mary-Jess Leaverland who won the Chinese X-Factor in front of an audience of 70 million people is set to perform a homecoming concert at Gloucester Guildhall on Monday.
It’s the last performance of her tour and she will sing a host of classically-inspired songs, as well as some festive favourites with choir girls from her old school, Ribston Hall, will accompany her during the performance.
It will be the last of three performances in the county this month for the 23-year-old, who hasn’t looked back since her success in China four years ago.
Since then Mary-Jess has sung to royalty at Windsor Castle and performed at last year’s FA Cup Final at Wembley and has recently sung the Downton Abbey theme for A Life in Song: Lyrics by Don Black.
nTickets for the 7.30pm gig on Monday cost £10 in advance or £12 on the door. Call 01452 503050.
