CHILDREN are being invited to put words to pictures.

Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum has posted four paintings on the windows of The Outer Space in St George's Place.

Entitled Every Picture Tells a Story, the pictures will be on display until Easter.

The four canvases on display include Lost or Strayed by Briton Riviere, Portrait of Artist watching her Two Children Grow by P J Crook, Mother and Child, Candlelight by William Rothenstein and Village Life by Stanley Spencer.

Children can submit their 400-word long stories about the paintings online at cheltenhammuseum.org.uk or email it directly to faye.little@cheltenham.gov.uk or sandra.ashenford@cheltenham.gov.uk.

A selection will be chosen by staff at the gallery and museum to be published on the website for others to enjoy.
