HARRY Williams and Bobbie Dale both fired hat-tricks as Cheltenham Town Under-18s cruised into the second round of the FA Youth Cup with an eight-goal demolition of Maidenhead United.

Russell Milton's team will travel to either AFC Wimbledon or Farnborough Town next and their safe passage through was never in doubt after Williams opened the scoring in the 17th minute.

Maidenhead could not handle right winger Zack Kotwica and every time he received the ball, Cheltenham seemed likely to create a clear-cut opening.

Kotwica set up the first with some fine wing play and a cut back to Williams, who beat Michael Pearce with a firm low drive.

Williams was brought down in the penalty area a minute later, but Joe Hanks saw his spot kick saved by Pearce, who parried and Hanks followed up to force the ball over the line, but he was adjudged to have fouled the goalkeeper in the process.

Cheltenham were rampant though and it was no surprise when they scored their second in the 29th minute.

Hanks low ball into the danger area was met by Dale, who saw his first effort blocked, but he followed up to fire in the rebound.

Kotwica created the third with another quick and skilful run, teeing up Hanks for a shot which he placed underneath the dive of the goalkeeper in the 38th minute.

Right-back Kieron Thomas made it 4-0 five minutes before the break, finishing a flowing move with a well-placed shot inside the far post and Maidenhead were in total disarray.

There was still time for Dale to claim his second during first half stoppage time, applying a low finish after good work from Williams, who shone in his advanced midfield role.

Williams scored his second in the 51st minute and he completed his hat-trick ten minutes later after Kotwica fed Dale on the right and a tempting cross was clinically dispatched.

James Bowen, who caused plenty of problems on the left flank for the Robins, set up Dale for his hat-trick in the 71st minute, supplying a low ball with the Maidenhead defence once again going missing.

Dale Reaney had been a spectator for most of the night, but he showed he was still alert with a fingertip save from Jason Belgrave in the 75th minute and no further goals followed.
