Marlon Pack is looking forward to settling an old debt with Cheltenham Town's new loan signing Paul Benson.
The tall Swindon Town striker set up Pack’s first ever Football League goal during the midfielder’s loan spell at Dagenham and Redbridge from Portsmouth.
He supplied a cross in the 15th minute of Pack’s final appearance for the Daggers, in April 2010.
“I know Paul is going to be a nuisance for defenders and he used his attributes well when I was at Dagenham,” Pack said.
“He’ll fit in really well here and his record speaks for itself. He was top scorer every year at Dagenham and he did well for Swindon last year too.
“He is a natural scorer, who is good with the ball and he doesn’t mind doing the donkey work, so he’ll be a great addition.
“He set up my first goal in the League, so I am looking forward to returning to compliment and repaying him with some balls in.”
Benson shone in League One for Pack's hometown club Portsmouth, who were keen to retain his services.
But he was recalled by Swindon and joined Cheltenham on Tuesday.
"I know Portsmouth wanted to extend his loan there," Pack said.
"I think he's been unlucky not to play more for Swindon this season, but all he needs is a good run of games and he'll give us that 'out ball' when things are tight."
