COUNCIL housing tenants will begin paying their rent at a new location later this month.

Cheltenham Borough Homes (CBH) will officially open its new cash hall and offices at Hester's Way Community Resource Centre on May 23.

CBH, which manages 5,000 council-owned and leasehold properties, is moving from its current base in nearby Edinburgh Place.

The resource centre in Cassin Drive is run by the Hester's Way Partnership and the rent CBH pays for the space will help the charity continue to regenerate the area.

All 150 CBH staff will move to the Cassin Drive centre or the Oakley Community Resource Centre in Clyde Crescent, Cheltenham.
