Charlton Kings choir Musica Vera is staging a seasonal fundraising concert at St Mary's Church next month to raise funds for Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts.
"The Holly and the Ivy" concert being held on Saturday December 8 at 7.30pm will feature music by Kodaly, Tchaikovsky, Holst, Messaien, Lauridsen, Warlock and Haydn as well as carols for choir and audience.
The choir, which has 22 male and female singers, will be conducted by David Dewar and accompanied on piano and organ by John Wade.
Tickets cost just £10 and include light refreshments. They can be purchased on the door or in advance from Cheltenham Tourist Information Centre at 77, Promenade, Cheltenham. Children under 16 can attend free of charge.
"We are extremely grateful to Musica Vera for supporting the Festival and hope that as many people as possible will get into the spirit of Christmas by coming along to their concert on December 8," said Rod Davis, Chairman of Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts.
The highly successful Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts involves 3,500 children, young people and adults showcasing their dance, music and speech and drama talents each year.
