(Charfield win 4-2 on penalties)

SHAUN Bath fired in the winning penalty to earn Charfield the County Intermediate Cup after a night of drama at Slimbridge's Wisloe Road.

The Stroud and District League Division Three side trailed 2-0 and 3-2 to Division Four Hardwicke Reserves, but they hit back to take the match to penalties.

Hardwicke's scorers were Stuart Durrans, Daniel Scott and Richard Stower.

Kieran Squires missed a late chance to win the match inside 90 minutes.

Squires and Tom Gardner successfully converted from the spot, but Shane Thorp put his penalty over the bar and Lewis Tonks' effort rebounded off the woodwork.
