Two-time Champion Hurdle winner Hurricane Fly heads a five-runner field for a potentially fascinating Ryanair Hurdle at Leopardstown on Sunday (2pm).

His main rivals are Our Conor and Jezki in what promises to be a big pointer to this season’s Champion Hurdle.

Hurricane Fly is expected to start as favourite after gaining the 19th win of his 22-race career over hurdles at Punchestown last month.

However, younger rivals Jezki and Our Conor have the talent to expose any chinks in the veteran champion’s armour.

Jezki suffered his only defeat in eight hurdle races at this year’s Cheltenham Festival, at which Our Conor was an easy winner of the Triumph Hurdle.

The other runners in a top-class field are Thousand Stars and Captain Cee Bee.
