A CELEBRITY couple are being touted for a move to a £2.25million home near Stroud - but it won’t be the Beckhams.
The former footballer David and his former pop star wife Victoria were rumoured to be moving in to the Five Valleys, after he was spotted at a filling station in Dudbridge.
Seven bedroom Barnes Close House in the hamlet of Littleworth, Amberley, which boasts a swimming pool, tennis court and impressive history, could be about to be snapped up by famous name or two.
But Harry Sheppard of estate agents Strutt and Parker confirmed the Beckhams are not moving in.
“It is under offer,” said Mr Sheppard.
Built between 1896 and 1899 as a boarding school for girls, previous residents include relatives of the Ricardo family - lords of the manor of Minchinhampton, and former High
Sherriff of Gloucestershire Sir Walter Craddock.
James Murray, of Murray Estate Agents’ Painswick branch, said: “It’s not huge but it’s a pretty property.”
