CANCER survivor Joanne Sutherland, who survived nine months of treatment, has launched her own support group called Charlies, to help others.

Six months of chemotherapy and three months of radiotherapy saved her life. Now she has set up a Charlie’s where cancer patients and post-cancer patients can meet others and have a bit of fun.

Treatments and games are provided, including Reiki, Indian head massage, raffle, pool, snooker and darts.

Charlie’s next meeting will be on May 7 from 10am to 2pm, and it’s for all cancer patients, whatever stage of treatment they are at, and post-cancer patients.
