FORMER bassist of The Jam, Bruce Foxton, is set to rock Stroud Subscription Rooms later this month.
He’ll perform as part of his The Public Gets What The Public Wants tour on April 27.
Formed in Woking, Surrey, The Jam were a big fixture on the punk scene in the 1970s and have clocked up 18 UK top 40 singles including Town Called Malice and Going Underground.
As well as The Jam’s hits, Bruce will perform a selection of songs from his solo career have recently released new album, Back in The Room.
Nikki Beard, front of house office at the Sub Rooms, said: “The Jam’s iconic sound provided the soundtrack to many people’s teenage years so it’s going to be a great night reliving the memories of Fred Perry shirts, bleached jeans and the smell of two-stroke oil from Vespa and Lambretta scooters.”
Tickets for the 7.30pm gig cost from £20. Call 01453 750900.
