Boys from Gloucester are being offered the chance to audition for the role of Billy Elliot in the much-adored West End musical.

Auditions for the role will take place on April 26 in Bristol.

Casting directors are also looking for boys to take on other roles in the cast at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London.

Other auditions will take place on March 15 in London.

Boys should be a maximum of five feet with no broken voices. Tap and ballet experience is useful but not essential.

For further information or to arrange an audition, email children’s casting director, Jessica Ronane at billy@jessicaronane.com with details of where you are from and date of choice in the subject box.

Auditionees are asked to come ready to dance first then maybe sing afterwards wearing comfortable clothes – no lycra, leotards or jazz pants.

They are asked to bring all dance shoes and trainers.

Earlier this year Bristol also played host to auditions for the new Star Wars movies under the guise of a mysterious casting call from film-makers Disney.
