The shop goes from strength to strength as weekly sales are now well above budget. The opening day balloon race was won by three-year-old William Dutton whose balloon made it to Northampton.

There is now free internet surfing available in the shop cafe.

Today the Blockley Art Group annual Exhibition starts at the Jubilee Centre. Open daily until August 10 from 10am until 5.30pm. Admission is free and parking available.

Tomorrow there will be a service of BCP Holy Communion at Blockley with a Family Service at 9.30am. At 6pm there will be Evening Prayer at Bourton on the Hill.

The mobile skate park is here again on Monday. In the car park of the Sports Club in Station Road. From 1.30pm to 3.30pm. As well as skate boarding there will be other activities for the young. Details from Jill Malin on 01386 700108.

On Thursday Blockley WI meet for Lunch in the Garden at The Old Chequers at Draycott from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, £5 per person, pay on the day, please remember to bring your chair.
