Big names for Cheltenham Literature Festival

TOP celebrities from the worlds of comedy, sport, acting and music are heading to the town this autumn.

John Bishop, Jennifer Saunders, Terry Wogan, Emma Thompson, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Cath Kidston, Brian May, and Rachel Khoo, are among the latest star names to be announced as appearing at the Cheltenham Literature Festival 2013.

The event, which runs from October 4 to 13, attracts the biggest names in culture, politics and sport.

The festival will also be celebrating the work of debut novelists through its popular Fiction Focus and Proof Party series, including welcoming one of the world’s most celebrated dancers, Carlos Acosta to talk about his debut novel and life in dance.

Captain Corelli’s Mandolin author Louis de Bernières presents his debut poetry collection and Pam Ayres returns with her unique brand of humorous verse.

The full line-up will be announced in August. Tickets go on sale to members on August 27 and on public sale from September 2.
