Big freeze next week? We can't wait to build our snowmen, say Quedgeley youngsters

Predictions of a big freeze next week have got tots from a Quedgeley playgroup thinking about building snowmen.

The youngsters couldn’t wait for a touch of the white stuff so they made their own snowmen out of paper plates and old Christmas decorations at the Chatterbox group, which meets at St James Church.

Reverend John Ward, who helped with the activity, said: “The youngsters really enjoyed making the snowmen and no two were the same. Some were wearing traditional hats, others had crowns. It was amazing to see how the recycled material was used.”

    @ Lecorche. I'm with you (and weather.com) on this, at the moment. But if the path of the 'jet stream' across the Atlantic shifts in the next day or so, we might be in for some snow from Canada
