BANK staff who raised cash for a flying helicopter have been thanked by its boss.
HSBC workers handed over more than £7,500 to the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.
Its chief executive John Christensen said: “We’re so thankful to staff from HSBC for deciding to support our cause and were delighted to be their supported charity for 2013.
“We are the youngest air ambulance charity in England and the funds that HSBC staff have raised mean that we can keep our air ambulance flying, and keep providing an important emergency service for the people of our region.”
The charity provides an air ambulance service for 2.1million people inBristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, Gloucestershire and parts of Wiltshire. GWAAC was chosen as the 2013 charity of the year for 11 HSBC branches including Stonehouse, Tetbury, and Cirencester
