The A40 Golden Valley Bypass has reopened after a rush-hour crash involving a lorry and convertible Audi TT.

The road was closed in the Gloucester-bound direction from junction 11 of the M5 following a road accident at about 6.30am on Monday.

It is understood the driver walked from his car uninjured and called for his car to be removed personally.

The road is now open but there is traffic congestion. The driver will attend hospital for a check up.

Why was it relevant to highlight it was a TT?

My six year old Grandson could write a more legible account of this article. What do they teach them at school these days .... not English by the look of it !!

"convertable Audi TT" - is that different to a convertible one? Wouldn't this website be so much better if there was ANY degree of proof-reading of articles BEFORE publication? Or failing that, somebody at the Echo who visits the website each time a new article is published and reads it through, and then hopefully spots the errors... Sigh.

**from junction 11 of the M5 following a road at about 6.30am** Following a road?? **The drive will attend hospital for a check up.** Who does the drive belong to? Where is it situated? Most importantly, will the drive fit in the hospital?
