It's only 9 days until the start of the NatWest T20 Blast and it all begins with one of the biggest matches of the season, the local derby between Gloucestershire and Somerset on Friday May 16 at the Bristol County Ground.
Gloucestershire captain Michael Klinger will be leading the Gloucestershire team and looking to get off to a winning start in the T20 campaign and carry momentum into the the first few matches. The team will be supported by a bumper crowd at the Bristol County Ground and with majority of ground developments completed, there will be an electric atmosphere to greet the team come 5.30pm when the match begins.
Gloucestershire Cricket Chief Executive Will Brown believes Friday nights mixed with T20 is a perfect match "We are very excited about the game and it's a great kick-off to our T20 campaign. There will be a buzz around Bristol in the build-up to it and terrific noise on the night.
"For us it represents a wonderful opportunity to get people in the ground and make it an experience they want to repeat throughout the summer"
Tickets are still on sale for this match, although supporters are being advised to buy tickets early to avoid disappointment.
